The story of the Canadian Second Cup brand started almost 40 years ago in Toronto and since then it developed to provide the best services to our customers. Thursday, 19 May 2011 – the official opening of the first Second Cup coffee shop in Romania. The Ruby Food company, owner of the Ruby Tuesday franchise in Romania, launched the most popular brand of Canadian coffee shops. Implemented also as a franchise, Second Cup represents more than a coffee shop.
Following the tradition of creating a special space, the location from Decebal Boulevard has a design meant to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a harmony between simplicity and modernity, between the space maximizing and its functionality, while maintaining the local identity.
The novelty that Second Cup brings is the exceptional quality of the coffee assortments imported from three continents – Africa, Asia-Pacific and South America – in order to offer an original product. In addition to the variety of coffee from various regions of the world, the Second Cup rage of products is competed by a series of special drinks.
The opening event was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of Canada in Bucharest, mister Philippe Beaulne, and His Excellency the Ambassador of Lebanon in Bucharest, mister Mohammed El-Dib, Second Cup International President, Jim Ragas, business partners, mass-media representatives and public figures.
